AllClear Aerospace & Defense

AllClear Aerospace and Defense is the company that most of the market still calls Kellstrom Defense. It has been in business since 1990 and took its present shape in 2020, when the owners brought Aero Precision and Kellstrom Defense together under one roof and renamed the combined group AllClear. The business is narrower than a prime and deeper than a broker. It exists to keep aging military aircraft flying by finding, repairing, manufacturing and moving the parts that original equipment manufacturers no longer prioritize, for the United States military and for allied air forces that operate the same airframes.

Distribution is the largest of its four service lines. AllClear holds authorized distribution and licensing relationships with original equipment manufacturers and stocks parts, supplies and spares for domestic and foreign military customers, which matters most on platforms where the production line has closed and the supply chain has thinned out. Repair Services runs an in-house 14 CFR Part 145 repair station in Miramar, Florida, plus repair management on behalf of customers and a network of MRO partners worldwide, so a customer can route a component through AllClear rather than manage a dozen vendors.

Engineered Products is the answer to obsolescence. Where an original part is unavailable or no longer meets requirements, the engineering team produces OEM-licensed or custom-designed replacements built to specification. Logistics Solutions wraps the rest: provisioning, inventory management, life-extension upgrades and total logistics support packages aimed at fleet readiness rather than individual transactions.

The group operates through a set of subsidiary companies, each with its own specialization and its own approvals. Airborne Technologies, TAVCO, Williams Aerospace and Manufacturing, DAC International and NASAM sit alongside the core distribution and repair operations. TAVCO received UK Civil Aviation Authority MAG Part 145 approval in July 2026, which extends the group's repair coverage for customers operating under UK regulation.

Supported platforms are the clearest statement of what the company is for. The list runs across fighters with the F-5, F-15, F-16 and F-18, transport and patrol aircraft with the C-130 and its L-100 civil variant, the P-3 and the 707 family, trainers with the T-50, and rotary wing with the AH-64, CH-47 and UH-60. These are long-lived types with large export user bases, exactly the population that generates sustained aftermarket demand decades after delivery.

Ownership has changed more than once. The company was backed by private equity for most of its recent history and was reported to be exploring a sale while under Odyssey Investment Partners. In June 2025 it completed a consensual recapitalization among its financial stakeholders that reduced debt and brought new funding from senior lenders, with interim leadership installed at the time. It remains privately held and headquartered in Miramar, Florida, with business development staff posted in markets including Saudi Arabia and a growing US government sales effort. Export control compliance and part traceability, with records retained for ten years, are treated as core to the offering rather than as back-office functions.
