Colt CZ Group SE

Colt CZ Group SE holds the Prague listing, the brands and the factories. The operating heart is still Ceska zbrojovka in Uhersky Brod, a Moravian gunmaking town that has turned out pistols and rifles since 1936, but the group as it trades today was assembled after 2013 and has grown mostly by purchase. More than 4,500 people work across thirteen production sites in the Czech Republic, the United States, Canada, Sweden, Switzerland and Hungary. Shares have traded on the Prague Stock Exchange under CZG since October 2020, and a second line opened on Euronext Amsterdam under COLT in April 2026. Management reports three segments: firearms and accessories, ammunition, and energetics. Ceska zbrojovka Partners SE remains the anchor shareholder.

The firearms segment carries the names buyers recognise. On the CZ side that means the CZ 75 pistol family and its striker-fired successor the CZ P-10, the CZ Scorpion EVO 3 submachine gun, the CZ 457 rimfire line, and the CZ BREN 2 assault rifle that equips the Czech armed forces and is the subject of a technology transfer agreement for assembly in Ukraine. Zbrojovka Brno sits alongside as a sporting marque. The Colt side brought the M4 carbine, the 1911 pistol, and the Python and Anaconda revolvers, while Colt Canada in Kitchener supplies the C7 and C8 rifle family to the Canadian Armed Forces and to other NATO users, and produces the Mk 47 Striker 40 mm automatic grenade launcher. Dan Wesson builds premium 1911 variants in New York. Accessories are a real line rather than a footnote, anchored by Spuhr i Dalby in Sweden, whose scope mounts and rings are standard fitment on a lot of European sniper and designated marksman rifles, and by 4M Systems in tactical equipment.

Ammunition became the largest revenue line after Sellier and Bellot of Vlasim was fully consolidated from May 2024. That business dates to 1825 and covers small calibre cartridges, hand grenades and other military materiel, and its margins drove most of the profit swing the group reported for the following year. Medium calibre work sits with swissAA in Switzerland. The energetics segment is newer still. Colt CZ closed the acquisition of Synthesia Nitrocellulose in January 2026, taking control of one of the larger energetic nitrocellulose producers in Europe and North America and with it the feedstock for single and multi base propellants used in small, medium and large calibre ammunition. Vertical integration of that kind is the current strategic theme, and it explains why a firearms house now owns a chemical plant. Government and institutional sales run through Colt CZ Defence Solutions, distribution through CZ Export and CZ-USA, and advanced manufacturing research through Cardam. Hungary hosts a newer assembly operation serving Central European armed forces. The civilian sporting and hunting trade in the United States still absorbs a large share of unit volume, which makes the group unusually exposed to two very different demand cycles at once.
