On the technology front, DXC has been pushing into what it calls sovereign and secure AI platforms, along with agentic AI tools aimed at automating government operations, and it has built out IoT and digital twin services for public sector clients managing physical infrastructure. A distinct part of the portfolio addresses justice and public safety, with court digitization, case management, and trial management systems that modernize how state and federal justice systems track cases, alongside broader government-as-a-platform offerings meant to give agencies reusable, modular services rather than bespoke one-off systems for every new requirement.

DXC holds a General Services Administration Multiple Award Schedule contract, one of the standard vehicles federal buyers use to procure IT services, and the company counts roughly 280 public sector customers globally with about 20,000 employees dedicated to government work, built on more than five decades of public sector experience through its predecessor companies. DXC Technology trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker DXC and is headquartered in Ashburn, Virginia, putting it in the same Northern Virginia government-services corridor as many of its federal IT competitors. DXC's federal identity is still shaped by its CSC and HPE heritage, both companies with long histories running large mainframe and outsourcing contracts for agencies, and much of the current modernization pitch is really about migrating that inherited installed base off older infrastructure rather than winning entirely new agency relationships from scratch.
