MilDef Group AB builds the computing hardware that military organisations put inside vehicles, ships, aircraft and command posts, and then integrates it into working systems. The company was founded in 1997, is headquartered in Helsingborg in southern Sweden, and has been listed on Nasdaq Stockholm since 2021 under the MILDEF ticker. It reports as a single operating segment and employed about 550 people in mid 2026, spread across offices in the Nordics, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States and Taiwan, where the MilDef Crete joint venture handles part of development and manufacturing. Net sales for 2025 reached SEK 2,045 million, up 70 percent, of which only 6 percentage points were organic. Order intake that year was SEK 3,193 million and the backlog closed at SEK 3,595 million, above SEK 4.2 billion by mid 2026. The growth is a direct read on how quickly European armies are replacing analogue field equipment with networked computing.

The product catalogue is organised into four hardware families plus software. Processing and storage covers rugged laptops and mobile workstations such as the RK15 and the 17 inch RB14, the thinner RS13, ultra rugged Windows tablets like the DS16P, Android handhelds including the DF10 and DH8, and rack mounted CS Series computers and servers sized for armoured vehicle and shelter installations. Displays span sunlight readable panel PCs, KVM consoles and rugged keyboards and trackballs for operator positions. The network line carries Ethernet switches, tactical routers and media converters that hold up to vibration, heat and electromagnetic requirements. Power products run from the ACS90 field adapter through ROD Modular DC to DC converters to the PWR2100 Series distribution unit with an integrated uninterruptible supply. Docking stations, vehicle mounts, chargers and inverters fill the peripheral layer.

Software is where the company has pushed hardest recently. OneCIS is its tactical IT platform, built to deploy maps, command and control applications and communications tools quickly, to keep working when links drop, and to align with NATO Federated Mission Networking so allied units can actually exchange data. Around that sit the services: system integration across platforms and domains, installation work on armoured vehicles, mobile command units, naval vessels and unmanned platforms, testing and verification against MIL-STD, DEF-STAN and STANAG, cybersecurity accreditation, training, and lifecycle support that runs for the decade or more these fleets stay in service. The Bastionen facility at Rosersberg opened in 2025 and quadrupled integration capacity, with a further 50 percent expansion of Helsingborg production scheduled for summer 2026.

The transforming move was the acquisition of roda computer GmbH of Lichtenau, completed in March 2025 for EUR 70 million in cash plus 1,374,047 new shares. That brought around 115 staff, two German plants and established channels into the German, Austrian and Swiss market, and roda has since won a German defence order worth about SEK 320 million on its own. Customers include the Swedish defence materiel administration FMV, which holds a seven year framework agreement valued at up to SEK 1.5 billion, prime contractors such as L3Harris, and army digitalisation programmes in other European NATO states. Component supply is the recurring constraint.
