Wearable, vehicle, perimeter and software counter-drone RF systems
MyDefence builds radio frequency sensors and jammers that find hostile drones and take away the link that flies them. The company was founded in 2013 in Norresundby, in northern Denmark, by officers who had worked with military radio technology and who judged that small commercial drones would become a battlefield problem long before most of the industry agreed with them. That call aged well. Everything the firm sells sits inside one domain, counter unmanned aircraft systems, and the catalogue is organised by where the equipment is carried rather than by what it does, which is why the product range splits into wearable, vehicle, perimeter and software lines. Bridgepoint, the London private equity group, took a majority holding through its Development Capital IV fund in June 2024, after the business reported compound annual revenue growth of 115 percent over the preceding four years. Headcount is about 161 people worldwide. The firm remains independent of any defence prime, and it has built out North American entities rather than selling through one, with an office in Clearwater, Florida and a production and innovation site opened in Oklahoma City in February 2026.
The wearable line is the part most people have seen. Wingman is a body worn detector that scans roughly 200 MHz to 6 GHz and reports bearing and drone type in under ten seconds, and Pitbull is the matching jammer, a wearable emitter that attacks control and satellite navigation links out to about a kilometre and can be triggered automatically by a Wingman alert. Sold together they are packaged as the Soldier Kit. Vehicle equipment follows the same detect and defeat pairing at higher power, with Watchdog radio frequency sensors on the detection side and Dobermann jammers on the defeat side, sized for patrol vehicles and light armour.
Perimeter work covers fixed and semi fixed sites such as airfields, prisons, border crossings and energy infrastructure. Wolfpack is the portable omnidirectional sensor for that role, networkable so that several units triangulate a track across a large site, and Boxer, released in June 2026, is the long range jammer, a modular multi band system quoted at up to ten kilometres depending on antenna height and radio conditions. Software ties the hardware together. Spectrum Warrior applies machine classification to the raw spectrum, opens the Wingman up to software defined radio operation, and pushes tracks into the Android Tactical Assault Kit so that a detection made by one soldier appears on every screen in the network.
Ukraine has been the proving ground. More than 2,000 Wingman detectors have gone to Ukrainian forces over five years, and the Spectrum Warrior release was written against feedback from those users. The US Army placed the largest single order in the company history in June 2025, 485 wearable systems worth about 26 million dollars, destined for European Command and other combatant commands. Closer to home, MyDefence signed a memorandum of understanding with fellow Danish supplier Terma in 2026 to fuse the SCANTER Sphera radar with its own radio frequency sensors and command software, which addresses the one thing radio detection cannot cover on its own, the autonomous or radio silent drone.
