UVision Air Ltd.

Loitering munitions from three kilograms to 125, plus their launchers.

//Overview

UVision was founded in 2011 at the Emek Hefer industrial park north of Tel Aviv, and it has stayed narrow on purpose. The company builds loitering munitions and the launchers that fire them, nothing else. What separates the HERO range from most of the field is that it is a range rather than a product: seven weapons sharing a cruciform aerodynamic layout, an electro-optic seeker, a man-in-the-loop datalink and an abort function that lets an operator wave off a shot and re-engage, scaled from something a rifleman carries to something a corvette carries.

The small end is built around dismounted infantry and special forces. HERO-30 weighs three kilograms with a half-kilogram warhead and about thirty minutes of endurance, launched from a tube a soldier packs on his back. HERO-70 and HERO-90 step up through the light vehicle target set, the latter carrying a warhead up to three kilograms out to roughly 45 kilometres on a launch a single operator can set up in under two minutes. HERO-120 is the workhorse, twelve kilograms with a 4.5 kilogram multi-purpose warhead, an hour aloft and 40 kilometres of reach, and it is the variant the United States Marine Corps and United States Special Operations Command have worked with. HERO-250 launches from canister or rail against operational-depth targets. Above that the weapons stop being portable. HERO-400EC carries ten kilograms of warhead for two hours, still on an electric motor with a high speed dash and a quiet loiter mode. HERO-900 and HERO-1250 switch to gasoline engines, 25 and 50 kilogram warheads, ranges of 150 and 200 kilometres, and endurance measured in hours rather than minutes, which pushes them into the deep strike and anti-ship role.

Launchers are a product line in their own right. UVision introduced a multi-canister launcher able to fire different HERO types from one mount, so a vehicle or vessel crew picks the munition to suit the target instead of the target to suit the loadout, and the Marine Corps bought the six and eight cell configurations. Single canister launchers go on speedboats and light vehicles, and the same canisters have been demonstrated firing from naval platforms during NATO trials and from helicopters and transport aircraft. The company has pushed hard into foreign programmes rather than relying on Israeli orders. HERO-90 was selected by Program Executive Office Soldier in January 2026 for the United States Army Low Altitude Stalking and Strike Ordnance effort, offered with Mistral Inc. as the American partner, and a 2021 agreement with Rheinmetall and its Italian munitions arm RWM Italia put the HERO family on European platforms and into European tenders. UVision Air is privately held by businessman Aaron Frenkel through the Magnus holding company, employs roughly 300 people, and runs subsidiaries in Virginia and in India, where AVision Systems addresses local content requirements.
