Voyager Technologies

Voyager Technologies is a newer name for an older roll-up. The company was built as Voyager Space Holdings starting in 2019, acquiring a string of smaller aerospace and defense suppliers, then renamed itself Voyager Technologies and went public on the NYSE in June 2025, raising close to $383 million in its IPO. It now organizes itself around three lines of business: Defense and National Security, Space Solutions, and the Starlab space station program, and it describes itself as working across air, land, space, and cyber domains rather than any single product line. The defense and national security side is the least visible to outsiders but is where a lot of the revenue actually sits. Voyager makes solid-fuel propulsion and energetics, and it says it is the only US-based producer of black powder, a niche but genuinely important piece of the domestic munitions supply chain.

Its controllable solid-fuel propulsion work is aimed at precise thrust for missile orientation and steering, including hypersonic applications, and the broader division also covers advanced electronics, guidance and navigation systems, and what the company calls spectrum dominance, a mix of signals intelligence and electronic warfare capability. This segment has been growing fast on the back of rising defense budgets and programs tied to layered air and missile defense, including the kind of work associated with the Pentagon's Golden Dome initiative, which shows up in Voyager's stated pipeline even where individual contract awards are not yet public. Space Solutions is closer to what the old Voyager Space brand was known for. It runs the Bishop Airlock, the first commercially owned module permanently attached to the International Space Station, along with mission management services, space science payload work, and advanced exploration systems. This unit built the company's early reputation as a supplier NASA and commercial space operators could bring in for hardware and integration rather than launch itself.

Starlab is the long-term bet. It is a commercial space station being developed as a successor to the ISS, intended to keep a continuous human presence in low Earth orbit once the current station retires. Voyager reported completing the commercial Critical Design Review for Starlab at the end of 2025 and is moving into full system procurement, and it has separately worked on expandable habitat technology with partner Max Space. Whether Starlab actually flies on schedule is the biggest open question hanging over the company, since space station development has a long history of slipping. Voyager is headquartered in Denver, Colorado, trades under the ticker VOYG, and entered 2026 with a record backlog above $260 million and a pipeline the company has said could exceed a billion and a half dollars if defense programs like Golden Dome convert into hardware contracts.
